Peekabooty has a chequered history which might explain some of the
issues with its website. The original concept was put together by
CDC (Cult of the Dead Cow) members under the guidance of Oxblood
Ruffin. These formed a team called Hactivismo to do the development
work. In more recent times, Hacktivismo have dropped the project and
it is now managed by Paul Baranowski who is one of the founding
members of Hacktivismo.
With a history like that, websites are prone to become cluttered! :)
The goal of the project is still primarily to provide people in
countries under strict regimes with anonymous access to the WWW,
despite government restrictions and monitoring. There is no code
available for public use as yet. The nature of the projects dictates
endless testing of software prior to public release.
If you would like more info on it, try talking to some of the kooks
on alt.fan.cult-dead-cow who can probably point you in the right
direction. Some of them are (mostly) harmless.
