How is this news? How was it hidden (in a later post you ask: "how is this
for hidden knowledge")? The story re****ts the preliminary findings of a
study that should be finished this year - ie the complete sequencing of a
Neanderthal genome.
If you re-read the sections you chose to quote verbatim in your posts, you
should notice that the findings re****ted are exactly what one would expect
based on the results of thousands of studies of the thousands of
Neanderthal
fossils discovered over the past 150 years - Neanderthals are more closely
related to modern humans than are chimpanzees, with whom we share 98.4% of
our gemome. Yawn.
