Thanks. I've been busy and just come back and found this.
Anyhow, I always thought that you were here before me. I like the Web
and blogs and all that, but I think Usenet seemed to work than most of
the blog message boards do.
What's sort of weird is that, instead of ending up in a very special
homeless shelter because of being a fan of Late Night, I ended up
moving to the New York area and getting what has turned out to be a
fun, stable job; a spouse, a child born 363 days before Neve O'Brien;
and a chance to experience a lot of really surreal (but legal and
ethical) adventures that I can't really describe on Usenet.
I guess the moral is: work hard, study hard and develop an unnaturally
intense interest in a television talk show, and maybe you too can have
a really interesting life.
