I'm thinking it had something to do with Andy. And boy oh boy, was it
ever
nice to see him again! He really was playing the sidekick role again, not
just another guest.
I just don't know how the late night talk shows should deal with the
commercial break problem. Of course, I'd like them to have fewer
commercial minutes, but I'm not sure that's realistic. I know I HATE
those
really long breaks that come in the second half-hour, so if another early
break can shorten those later breaks, I guess it might be worth a try. It
does break up a wonderful Conan tradition, though.
Craig Ferguson's fans got really mad when they tried to bust up his
monologues with another commercial... I think Craig apologized for it the
next night! But I think they did manage to cram another break into
Craig's
first half-hour anyway.
