Is there anything more freaky than a silent cartoon? No, there
is not. From the deep vaults of Fleischer Brothers bizarreness, Koko
the Clown and his dog find their way to the Earth's Control Room and it
all goes terribly wrong.
As with most of the Koko The Clown cartoons this has interactions
between the animator and the characters, as well as about six solid
minutes
of freakiness. It also features a *really* neat introduction for Koko.

Matt Groening cited it as an example of great cartoon scripting,
which is a touch ironic since the cartoons back then were largely made
by piling up a bunch of scenes until they ran out of film, though this
one actually has got a pretty straightforward plot line:
