Yeah, I know and that's what I've been doing. The only problem, in my
opinion, with searching the archives is the fact it's old dialog. Very
informative to be sure, but I've always found the best part of newgroups
is
the 'semi-live' aspect. (I don't have time to do the chat room thing -
even
if one indeed exists)

The Google archives are excellent reading material for many subjects and I
like them. Especially when I'm at work!:)
