But the doctrines call for the avoidance of "public entertainments."
While TV is a far cry from such entertainments circa 1630, it's still
on the list of things to avoid.

You might also note that the number of Mennonites is less than the
number of people who attend the Mennonite churches.  It is a bit more
difficult to become a member than it is in many mainstream
denominations.  FWIW, there are 1.2 million Mennonites world-wide.
Nearly half of those are in the USA.  Some of the Amish count among
that number, some don't.
