We have two kinds of jasmine, one being Carolina jessamine and the
other being Arabian jasmine.  The only thing they have in common is
fragrant white flowers.  I think star jasmine is the "real" jasmine
horticulturally, but the name is used for a lot of plants.

The Carolina jessamine blooms first and it's a vine that doesn't get
cut back very often.  The Arabian jasmine, which is in full bloom
right now, gets whacked off regularly with a small chain saw except
when it's budding or blooming.

I just got a beautiful yellow crown of thorns plant.  It's in a pot
right now, but when it gets a little bigger it's going out to replace
a langui****ng lavender lantana.  I also got a nice maternity plant and
two mother-of-thousands plants.  They go into clay bowls, not regular
pots, so that the babies land on dirt and grow.
