Yes, each league went from 8 teams playing 154 games each, for a 
total of 16 teams,  1,232  regular season games
to 10 teams playing 162 games each, for a total of 20 teams, 1,620 
regular season games.
I ignored this in my simulation, and treated each season as the 
same. It wouldn't be hard to add that in, but I didn't.

The leagues were at one point hardly "national". Here's the 
situation in 1930:
New York/ Brooklyn: 3 teams  [Dodgers and Giants moved]
Philadelphia: 2 teams  [A's moved to Kansas City, then Oakland]
Boston: 2 teams  [Braves moved to Milwaukee, then Atlanta]
St. Louis: 2  teams  [farthest west and southwest]  [Browns moved to 
Baltimore, became Orioles]
Chicago: 2 teams
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Wa****ngton (farthest south)  [moved to Minnesota, then Texas]
Pittsburgh
Detroit
