Why do we have to do that? Why not just compare the number of countries
that sent troops and materiel? I repeat, five countries sent troops to
invade Iraq.

Here's the European makeup of the IFOR group; I selected this since I
couldn't easily find UNPROFOR or KFOR stats. You want to find them, go
ahead.
Canada 1500 4%
Denmark 800 2%
France 7500 21%
Germany 4000 11%
Greece 1000 3%
Italy 2200 6%
Luxembourg 300 1%
The Netherlands 2060 6%
Norway 750 2%
****tugal 900 2%
Spain 1000 3%
Turkey 1300 4%
UK 13000 36%
So yeah, Luxembourg wasn't pulling its weight.
It was an air war, as you point out, and all of the countries I first
listed, plus Canada, sent fighters and/or bombers. That alone seems a
substantial contribution.
