My actual TV is hooked up to a DirecTV dish, which means I get counted 
as a satellite subscriber, but I have my computer's TV tuner device 
attached to an OTA antenna -- a set of rabbit ears.  I get perfect 
reception on the digital channels; of course, I'm sure it helps that my 
computer is next to a window that faces the spot where all the Los 
Angeles TV stations have their transmitters, which is on top of a 
mountain about 20 miles from me.
