You might be able to ferment cat dung to get methane and then burn the
methane in an internal combustion engine. You'd probably get more work
out of an external combustion engine (e.g. steam locomotive) fuelled
by dried cat dung, _and_ you could say without actually lying that it
ran on water. However, simply putting a cat in harness, attaching the
harness to a car and then holding a live mouse on a stick just out of
the cat's reach would likely out-perform both. Vegetarians could try
using a vegetable instead of a mouse, but it wouldn't work.
