I'd believe. 

My uncle's house is on Belleville Lake, over which the Blue Angels
practice every year for a couple days prior to the airshow at Willow 
Run, so I got to see my share of turning and burning, even before my 
brief stay at Misawa AFB. 

The noise is one of the reasons I don't see fighter planes as 'flying'
quite so much as 'ripping a huge hole in the air'.
