The contractor on my basement remodelling offered a one-year warranty.
I don't know how that would be affected by my firing him, but the
bathroom was finished and paid for by the time of the firing.

But I hired a DIFFERENT plumber to fix the problem he'd left there.
If the three-week job was approaching month nine when I fired him, I
don't want to think how long it would take before the bathroom was
fixed.
