In the 2000 election, I was listening to a news story about how some
cops in Louisiana noticed the same teenager pull up to a polling place
*for the second time* with a van full of senior citizens.  They asked
him if all of these old folks were his relatives, and he said that no,
his church had asked for volunteers to drive senior citizens to the
polls.  The cops insisted, "You can't do that!"

I'm sure that the fact that the kid and senior citizens were black while
the cops were white had nothing to do with it.
