That's a little limiting. It is also the pharmacist's job to judge 
whether the prescribed dosage makes sense (doctors do make mistakes), 
whether the patient is taking other prescription drugs that interfere 
with or can be interfered with by the new drug, double-check for 
relevant allergies, inform the patient of possible side effects, etc. -- 
all stuff the pharmacist is qualified to do, and which the doctor may or 
may not have done.
