My name is no SOMEONE*.
No really, I was just giving you a hard time. But just wait until
NJill, Lesmond, Anny, Jeannie and the rest show up.
*At one of my first jobs in Houston, I worked with a Latino who was
called (what sounded to my very gringo ears) something like "Nohay."
After a few months of getting familiar with Spanish names and
nicknames, I was still curious about his name because it was so
unique. I asked his supervisor, also Latino, how Nohay's name was
spelled. "You mean Nohay? His real name is Carlos." Well, then, I
asked, why do you call him Nohay? He yelled out, "Hey! Carlos!" And
Carlos immediately yelled back "My name is no hey!"
