Yes, my response to my MIL saying my house is always "filthy" is to ask
why
she hasn't called Child Protective Services.  Surely, if it's that bad she
has a duty.

I think her problem is that it doesn't always look like adults live here. 
Too much Spongebob, you know?  Toys in the living room freak her right
out.
