Fair enough. I'll respect your respectful disagreement. The brouhaha 
didn't seem to me to do a lot of damage to Gore. I thought he handled 
it well and poked a little fun at himself in a way that defused the 
situation.

But I'll join you in your regret that Gore did not win in 2000. And 
if you see the Internet thing as decisive, I can well understand why 
the subject would be an extremely bitter pill.
