Binghamton, NY, is known as the Carousel Capitol of the World. There
are six antique Herschell carousels nearby. It's also the home of L3,
which is Link (aviation simulators), Rockwell-Collins (aviation
simulators), Lockheed-Martin (systems integration), and BAE Systems,
which is why I was there doing my Distinguished Lecturer gig. They
gave me a beautiful ****celain carousel horse, a copy of one of the
Herschell horses, as a memento.
