Thanks -- an interesting example is moving the mouse from one side of
I-5 in Olympia WA to the other, just north of the US101 junction --
May 2003 for the cloudy patch, July 2006 for the sunny side of the
street.
There does seem to be some "sweet spot" behaviour.
