I'm not sure you can. What she needs is time. Your description of
what she's going through sounds very similar to what my dad went
through when Mom died last summer (except that for him, more Scotch
was involved).
She may never get completely over this, but she will, over time, learn
to live with it, and the sharpness and immediacy of the grief will
abate. As others have said, as long as she's functioning and getting
through the day, it's probably best to let her work through her grief.

Maybe. Some people it helps, and others it doesn't.
