Meh. We're having ANOTHER reorg at work and it's tiresome and brings
out all the animosities. My department is being largely left alone, but
I'm still caught up in it. Also, one of my staff is being a snot
because I had to (justifiably) reprimand her for something. In general,
I'm surrounded all day by people I don't really like and wouldn't choose
to hang out with, but here we all are!

Yeah, the "best friend" politics can be very exclusionary. I don't have
one anymore, I just have the three women I mentioned (and one
ex-boyfriend, I suppose) that I could call up and ramble on with about
anything. And maybe I should. It would just be nice if someone were in
town to go hang out with sometimes.
