For some reason I felt like announcing it:
Ever since I was introduced to the Nintendo Wii system at a friend's house
at New Year's, I told myself (and this newsgroup) that if I could walk
right into a store, without any special preparations, and pick one up, I
would.
That day was today. After a nice drive around in the almost-warm spring
sun****ne, I dropped in to a Target store to get a little of this, a little
of that, and I strolled over to the electronics section. And, instead of
the usual sight -- a sign saying "We are tem****arily out of stock of this
item" -- there were five or six consoles in the case. So I loaded down
the
credit card a little more, but I got one.
I tried to make it work on my girlfriend's TV, but I couldn't find the
setting to make that TV accept incoming signal from an outside source.
Then
I took it home, and it started right up.
And gee, my girlfriend told me today she's going with her sisters and
mother next weekend to visit their various family gravesites in Missouri
and Oklahoma -- I wonder what I'll do for entertainment?

Pax vobis***.
