I'm not a big historical fiction nut. I don't mind them, and I've read a
few I really loved, but I don't seek them out. However, a friend has
highly
recommended the Wilbur Smith novels about Africa. I don't know my friend
well enough to know whether his tastes and mine inhabit the same
dimension,
but I have always had good luck with strong recommendations.
That said, I'd like to see what the folks who REALLY know stuff think
about
the books. Worth the effort?
