US High School Dropout Rates - Scary

by Jeff Wisnia <jwisnia@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 24, 2008 at 05:42 PM

I knew it was bad, but not THIS bad.

Elsewhere I've read that the US's High School dropout rate is the
highest among all the industrialized nations. Wouldn't suprise me to
find that's sad but true too.

Coupling that with the continuing decline in the US's "assembly line"
manufacturing jobs makes it pretty hard for me to remain optimistic
about our nation's future.
