I was in the studio audience for the filming of a game show once.
They wanted us to keep applauding while they ran the credits twice
while the host chatted with the contestants.  The US credits ran at
triple the speed of the Canuck credits.  I'm not sure what other
editing they would do besides the hyperspeed credits to make up for
the extra commercials on the US version.
