Why ask him? He's not going to cheerfully get anything no matter who 
asks. 

According to http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/policy/ohim/hs05/htm/mv1.htm

there's around 250 million vehicles in the US. If you figure each one is 
going to need four oil changes a year, that's 32 million barrels of 
waste oil, which is presumably much higher quality than garden-variety 
light sweet crude. 

....but that's about a day and a half of the US oil consumption. And
you've got the same overhead you have with any other crude oil - you
have to ****p it and refine it - plus the fact that you have to collect 
it, one gallon at a time, from all over the damn place. It's a whole lot 
easier to take a couple million barrels out of one spot in the ground 
than it is to collect it a gallon at a time from 3 million different 
people every day. So you're probably not making a huge pile of money on 
waste oil unless 1) you're heating with it, or 2) you take advantage of 
economies of scale, like using the same Jiffy Lube delivery trucks that 
drop off the new oil at the franchises to pick up the waste oil.
