Perhaps. As I mentioned when I posted, the figure of $.50/gal is his,
unverified quote. He didn't say whether it included capital costs or the
approximate cost of (his) labor. I thought not, from context, but I could
be wrong. I'd expect the cost to be higher for pilot plant quantities that
take those two things into consideration, but don't know how much higher.

Still, the main point remains, you can get quality biodiesel from fry oil,
whether from McDonalds or other sources.

Coincidentily I had to buy some regular diesel today and watched it as it
went into the 5 gal container. It's pretty, a clear liquid that almost
sparkles as it flows. I'd been expecting a darkish slow moving liquid,
don't know why.
