I tried to control cholesterol with diet for 3 years. Made only
about a 5% decrease. So 5 years ago I started on Lipitor. Now the
combination of Lipitor, niacin, and exercise has everything looking
just fine [well, barely just fine]. Both my mother and father had
high cholesterol, and one of my brothers also. It is definitely
a matter of genetics in my family.
