The office chair I have at home I bought from a place that sells 
nothing but office furniture.  It wasn't cheap, but I won't have to 
buy another chair for a looooong time.  No naugas had to die to 
make it.

I almost never buy warranties because I figure they're mostly a 
rip-off.  As you say, either I'll forget the warranty, lose the 
do***entation, lose patience with customer reps, or -- what I 
generally suspect -- the product will wait until after the warranty 
period to break out of sheer orneriness.  (Or more likely, it was 
designed to last only slightly longer than the warranty.)
