I bought a 50 inch plasma (from Panasonic) about 2 years ago, and am
completely happy with it, FWIW. In our case, the room gets a fair
amount of ambient light during the daytime, and my resesarch suggested
the plasma's brighter screen would be easier to see. This is true,
though its ****ny screen is actually more affected by reflections.
There are pros and cons to each system. But you knew that.
