Idea for Twin Towers rescue?

Idea for Twin Towers rescue.

The twin towers could have done with a method of rescuing
people from that pending disaster. There seemed few options.
In fact given events not even the senior executives stood
a chance.

An idea for such an operation would involve the use
helicopters and grappling guns.  The helicopter would fire
two {or more} ropes into the building to sup****t a light
but sturdy mesh net. At the same time two other ropes would
remain attached to the underside of the helicopter hovering
some distance from the side of the building. When enough
people had entered the mesh basket, small charges would
detach the ropes sup****ting mesh to the building, this would
leave the mesh to swing free, sup****ted by the ropes under
the helicopter. This manouver would require control and
anticipation by the the pilot, but with powerful enough
helicopters and people prepared to observe the obvious
weight restrictions, it might work.

This just leaves the maths. The swing distance, against
load capacity and power requirement of the helicopter.

With the with fly by wire tech the helicopter could be
programmed to counter the effects of the swinging weight
this wouldn't even require specialist pilots. To reduce
the effect of swing, a remotely controlled payout rope
could be attached to control the release of the mesh to
vertical.

The first place to test this idea would of course be the
movies, possibly as a real stunt or a cgi interpretation.
Then who knows, with so many sky scrapers inhabited by so
many senior heads, the military might adopt the manouver
as a potential solution.

As an after thought the same manouver could be adapted,
used in reverse to bring equipment and personal to the
scene of the evacuation.

[This idea seems too obvious not to have bee thought of
