My federal tax refund just dropped into my account (it took them long
enough, I was starting to wonder if I/they somehow screwed up the account
tracking numbers).  Which got me wondering, just what happened to my tax
return?  Since I refuse to honor the FFA and their corrupt bargain with
the
IRS with my business, I file on paper.

Do they hire people to just enter all the numbers and information into
some
computer form and submit it; and from there pretend that I filed
electronically? Do they have clever machine that separates the W2, the
1040
itself, and the various schedules and then scans them and does OCR?  Or
does the clerk just type in the number on the "bottom line" and never look
at the rest of the stuff unless it gets flagged or randomly selected for
further review?

Also, the assembly instructions seem to suggest the W2s get stapled in the
middle of the front of the 1040, with a staple on the left margin (right
where it can interfere with folding the compilation so it fits in the
envelope.  And then the schedules get stapled behind the 1040, with
the staple in the upper left hand corner.  If next year I staple the W2 to
the top of the 1040 and just one staple for the whole assemblage, will
they
come after me?

I wonder how many times I misspelled "staple" as "stable" while composing
this.
