This wasn't an open-bag search (but it probably would've been today), but
I got pulled out of line to get my backpack sniffed because - I suspect[1]
- I had a loaf of home-made bread in it.  It had been baked in a round
pan, so its shape was kind of like a big hockey puck but with slightly
bulged top.  I guess the guy figured it might've been a gob of explosive.

[1] That was the only unusual thing in the bag -- the only kind of thing
I'd not traveled with before, without incident.
