As acetone has been unsuccessful, I'd try WD-40 next, naphtha, and then
I'd try to "peel" the first-layer off of the sticker with a plastic
putty-knife and try WD-40, naphtha and acetone again. I suspect that the
clay layer on the sticker is inhibiting the solvent from reaching the
adhesive.
