It seems that if you vote in the Democratic Primary, you're considered only
four-fifths of a person, in that 20% of your vote is given over for a few
party
hacks to decide.
The Republicans do a little better, giving 9% of the vote over to the
hacks.
I guess the 14th Amendment doesn't apply to quasi-public-private-political
parties.
But maybe by the next election, public pressure will force them to patch
up some
of the more glaring defects that have become apparent this time around.
