We went to one of the local P. F. Chang's for Mother's Day. I had prawns
for
the first time. I thought they tasted a little sweeter than shrimp.
I was reading this Time-Life Japanese cookbook, and it mentioned this
saying to
the effect that, when you have the pleasure of tasting something you'd
never
tried before, 75 days are added to your lifespan. By that reckoning, I
must've
added at least six years or thereabouts since we came here, considering
the
limited number of foodstuffs I was interested in eating as a kid.
