Back in '69, I was walking along some sleazy street in NY, NY looking
for a highly recommended bar when I (literally) bumped into a friend
I'd been at school with some years before. He was on his way back to
the UK after a few years in Oz, and had no idea that I'd ****pped out
to Canadia 8 months after his departure. After several hours of
drunken adventures we parted ways. We didn't see each other again
until we both happened to walk into the same Indian restaurant in Bath
18 years later.Last year a mutual friend dropped by on her way from
the UK to Singa****e and mentioned that she'd seen John in a pub in
Greenwich - he was on a blind date with her sister! I fully expect to
see him again somewhere unlikely in the next few years.
