Sounds right (68?). Not that I ever had anything to do with old-money
temperatures; I think the BBC, Bert Foord and all, had just changed to new
money by the time I came along.

These days, I occasionally chance upon an American weather forecast saying
something like "temperatures today in the 60s", and I have to work out
what
that means. Canadians work with the metric system, with temperatures at
least.
