I haven't been a patient there (it's Bournemouth by the way), but my
wife has.
Not only is the quality of care excellent, so is the food.

Unfortunately for some, all NHS esablishments are equal, but some are
more equal than others.
I guess it's something to do with the Healthcare Trust that is
responsible for it which makes it better than others.
Or maybe because it's a Foundation Hospital, which is not accountable
to the Treasury, is allowed to keep surpluses, and can borrow from the
private sector.
I think the new MRI wing was actually funded by donations from local
businesses, wealthy people, and other fund-raising activities.


Poole hospital is only a swallow's flight away, but it's run by a
different trust.
It seems to be run more like a production line.  Very functional, but
not much else.
The food in Poole hospital is poor in comparison to Bournemouth.

It is one of the very few NHS hospitals to have a hyperbaric chamber
though.
