Why not both?  

There was one time, my whole existence was very confused.  My mind was
very awake and my body was beyond tired.  I went to bed.  Then my body
became very awake (and very hungry) but my mind was very tired.  Hubby
tells me to go get something to eat otherwise I'll be up (meaning I'll
be keeping him up too) and not sleeping.  I grumble about not having
enough brain to fix anything substantial.  <fast forward 7.356
minutes>.  Hubby shows up with beans on egg on cheese on Marmite on
toast.  I sit up in bed, scarf the whole thing down with my eyes
closed (and barely conscious).  Hubby takes plate away before I eat
the plate as well, I fall over and asleep in about 5 seconds.
