Not safe out

Santa gave me some money this year and I decided to spend some of it
in an MP3 player. Walmart advertised a 1gig device for $39.95 or so
for their boxing day sale, so I toddled out there this morning.
(Stores here are not open on the actual boxing day, so we fake it the
day after.)

I found the mp3 player and got into the line up to pay for it in the
electronics section. While I waited, a portable DVD player leapt into
my cart and made me buy it. Eeek. It has a teeny screen and rather
peculiar controls, but it was only (!) $70.

I got out of the store before anything else attacked my willpower.

PS They have the Canon S3 IS for $425, but I didn't get *that* much
from Santa, dammit
