No chance on the growing wild.  The Forest Service is more than kinda
sensitive about folks letting the brush run wild since that big 03 fire
that took out over 2K homes.  I got a notice from the friendly folks at
the USFS a couple of springs ago and so had to get on the stick and
give the FEDs 100 feet brush clearance from my house.  What would
happen if I failed to act?  The Forest Service hires contractors to
brush unkempt land and for my property the bill would have run around
10K.  Oh, and the tree branches have to be cut at least 6' above ground
level.  Sooooo, because my wife didn't approve of the rough job the
"brush hog" I pulled behind the JD did, I went out and purchased a
largish lawn tractor  and now my yard is sort of manicured.

Yeah, I keep the skin-heads in my yard and throw them raw meat on
occasion.
