Internet Exploder, perchance? Probably the slowest downloader in the
world.
If you're stuck with Windows (stop smirking, Appleboy!) try Opera.
Much, much faster, and it doesn't use the IE COM control - they have
their own protocol handlers and HTML renderer.
(Sadly though, some websites don't work in Opera, because Opera stuck
to the rules of HTML and Java, but MS didn't, and too many people use
FrontPage to create their web pages)
