I read that Ice Ages only take about 10 years to happen.  By that,
they mean that when the conditions are right to switch to an Ice Age,
10 years later, it's there there.

What if we're already in year 9, and no-one's noticed yet?

Perhaps global warming is a precursor to Ice Age.
Hotter things cool down more quickly than their less-hot
counterparts...
