Been there, done that.  Bought a place for 46k.  It plummetted to 26k
and then took 10 years to get back up to 43k, when I sold it.  (I
covered the slight loss by letting it for a year before I sold it)

Nothing personal of course.  I'm sure there's nothing wrong with
Eastleigh.  I was actually working at Chilworth, and made the
occasional lunchtime excursion into Eastleigh.
