To encourage us to become couples.  Couples tend to have children
who grow up, get jobs and pay into pension schemes that pays out
to oldies.

Quite possibly.  My aroundtheworlding has come to a halt for the
time being, to be resumed next year.  I have some more
aroundthenationing to do next week and in the autumn.
