Whilst at an eating house in Birmingham I noticed a man in a "Pour l'amour
des chiens" T ****rt looking for a space for him and a female companion to
eat. I called that my friend and I were about to leave. He thanked me and
I
replied "Anything for a fellow Bonzos fan". "Actually," he replied, "I'm
their manager".
Well, strap me to a tree and call me Brenda, this was an op****tunity too
good to miss. I do hope he wasn't lying, does anyone know if the Bonzos
manager is a short, squat Scot with grey hair and a younger attractive
female partner? Anyway I engaged him in conversation and he expressed the
opinion that the June 6th gig should be really good but that ego wars were
tearing the group apart. He confirmed that the group were pleasantly
shocked
by the response to the first gig at the Astoria, that Stephen Fry enjoyed
every moment of that gig and sung along backstage word perfect. He also
tacitly agreed that Phil Jupitus was inebriated above and beyond the call
of
duty by not not contradicting my opinion that this may be so.
I am on holiday in Lanzarote for the June 6th gig so all please do enjoy
yourselves as it may be the last op****tunity for another 40 years
Take care and always carry a lightbulb
