Sorry to go all Norfolk on everyone, but an off-topic question about
sixties pop/folk:
I'm listening to an aircheck of a radio show from September 1970, and
there's a song by The Singing Postman, a.k.a. Allan Smethurst. Here
are the opening lyrics:
Some way from old Stowmarket
And miles from everywhere
There is a private studio
And I make records there
It's always nice and peaceful
Except for just one thing
No sooner do I start my song [BLARING JET OVERFLY]
...We'll have to start again
I'm unable to determine the song title. Could it be "Sound Barrier"?
